National Service Scheme, SRCC in association with HeForShe, Delhi organised an event 'Youth Voices' on the lines of the United Nation’s Women Solidarity Movement on Gender Equality on 28th October 2015. The campaign was a step towards celebrating the spirit of Gender Equality in our society. The event , aimed at spreading awareness and engaging the youth on budding issues threatening Gender Equality, witnessed the footfall of about 1000 students from the University of Delhi.
The inaugural speaker of the day, Mr. Saket Mani started the event by introducing the campaign to the masses gathered. A session with a young speaker like him marked the essence of the very spirit of making young fanatics the pioneers in the direction of Gender Equality. The next speaker, Mrs. Bani Yadav, a sports woman and rally car racer, engaged the audience in an interactive session and guided them about their role in the process.
The next guest, Mr. Kundan Saun made everybody hum to the tunes of his melodious song making it the 'Highlight of the Day'. The last speaker of the day, Mrs. Divya Chandra engaged the audience with a few interesting activities and meanwhile explained the importance and aspects of Gender Equality.
The campaign by HeForShe in association with UN is supported by millions of young enthusiasts across the globe. Organized in Delhi University, it gathered more momentum, making this event a memorable one!
