This is the literacy wing where we teach the underprivileged children from the nearby slum areas in our college. The purpose is to help children develop a better understanding of what they are studying and make them feel confident.
We conduct extra curricular activities every week for the kids to develop an imagination far beyond the textbooks. The kids also perform in the college during the Independence Day Celebration. The aim of the Project is to provide quality education to students who are unable to afford it on their own.
This year we plan to provide personal tutorship to students of Class 11th and 12th so that they could also get the opportunity of seeking admissions in the well renowned colleges of Delhi University.
Here is a blog by our Project Sanskar volunteers sharing their experience of interacting with the young minds.

In collaboration with the organisation named "Nai Disha Sahi Disha" at Sangam Park ,Shakti Nagar , Project Sanskar has extended its reach beyond the college where the volunteers teach English (Reading,Writing,Comprehension and Communicative) to the students there.
This initiative was undertaken keeping in mind the language barrier and the lack of basic spoken and English written skills which exhibits hindrances for Hindi medium students to study in Higher Education Institutes.
Currently, five NSS volunteers teach an approximate of 20-30 students ranging from Class 2 to class 6 ,twice a week.
The present learning level of students is not satisfactory enough but there is an optimistic belief among the the NSS volunteers that we will make some real progress in the days to come.
